It always surprises me that I have anyone apart from family and friends who read this blog. It makes me happy, but it still surprises me. It is especially surprising when it attracts the attention of mainstream media and the wider audiance that they have, but that is just what happened recently.
My little (somewhat neglected of late) corner of the blogosphere has attracted the attention Canadian Living Magazine, and made the list of their twenty-five Best Canadian Blogs. It is apparently in their November issue, but you can read it on line here.
Look at me, I’m famous.
So welcome to any of the new visitors who have found me through them. I hope you enjoy your visit, have a look through the archives as I feel some of the better posts are some of my older posts. Hope you enjoy visiting the High Arctic through my eyes.

Congrats. And I agree entirely with CANADIAN LIVING. I have come to appreciate arctic life thru your blog. Thanks.
Congrats!
Is it silly that I feel honoured that a blog I have been reading for a long time is mentioned in Canadian Living? Very cool.
Congratulations, Clare! Recognition well deserved!
Thank you all. Thank you all very much.
I have enjoyed your blog and your stories for several months now. Your pictures are incredible and should be in a book or online for sale! Congratulations on being recognized.
Congratulations Clare!
Thank you Svend. I have some self-published books that I market here in Arctic Bay, but nothing wider than that.
Thanks LS.
