This image is just stunning Clare!
Thanks Jen.
The summer is flying by. 🙁
Such a gorgeous photo, clare. Roger looked over my shoulder and said, “That must be the Arctic.” You’re making us fall in love with that place!
I looked up at the sun yesterday and thought, this is as far north as it goes. The slow return begins.
I do feel the same way on the summer solstice. Perhaps it means more when you live in the Arctic (I’m in Yellowknife now – was in Cape Dorset for 5 years).
But there is the other winter solstice on December 21 that has always the opposite effect for me because then I embrace the return of the light and energy! And that provides the optimism needed through January, February and March.
In the north we are so much more aware of the effects of our tilting planet.
That it is Dave, that it is.
Thank you Robin (and Roger). The seasons fly by.
I didn’t realize you were in Yellowknife now Lesleigh. I too love the promise of the Winter Equinox.
