It’s a strange thing this internet. When I googled the reporter who had contacted me it led me to the blog and webpage of Anita Daher, a children’s book author. Turns out that we’ve lived in many of the same places.. Winnipeg, Thompson, La Ronge, Saskatoon, Northwest Territories (her Yellowknife, just north of where I was in Fort Providence) and Nunavut (Baker Lake vs Arctic Bay). Okay I know those last two are a bit of a stretch. What’s more, she’s a friend of friends of mine that I worked with in Thompson.

The newspaper reporter was Bob Florence, I expect. Bob and I both attended City park Collegiate (at different times)in Saskatoon. We met just prior to our high school reunion. He was on the organizing committee, and writing a special feature for the paper. Nice fellow, and a terrific writer. If you’re chatting with him again please say hi from me 🙂
