There was supposedly a Polar Bear hanging out at that small island off the far point the day I took this picture. I really just wanted to post some nice late night sky, calm water and ice photos, but I'm still stinging from the criticism that I throw up too many photos without something to write along with them.
Not really, its all good. We searched Victor Bay for a couple of days, hoping the bear would move closer and into view, but it never ventured close. It has now apparently moved off.
Late yesterday evening I did get to see some High Arctic wildlife however. While walking about Uluksa Travis shushed us, saying he could hear Narwhal. Sure enough, when we shushed we could hear the sharp breaths of the whales out in Adam's Sound. And although we could hear many, they must have been quite far off, beyond a band of ice in the sound. One managed to show itself, taking several breaths this side of the ice before diving deep.

No complaints from me. I love your pictures. Ever since I moved to Canada in 1970, I have dreamed of traveling to Baffin Island. It may never happen, but your pictures are the next best thing.
That water is like glass! I don’t ever say anything that really adds, except that I just need to tell you how gorgeous your photos are!!! You really make me want to come up there!!!
Thanks Dave and Melodie. By the way, as of last night the Polar Bear is back on that little island.
