I'm working on day four or so of a badly spasming/sore back. Not the worse since I first threw my back out, oh eight or so years ago, but definitely in the top five. This morning, while I was grinding coffee (Equator's Breakfast Blend) I didn't hear a client come into the kitchen. He spoke, startling me, causing me to tense, causing a spasm. I screamed, startling him, so I guess we're even.
Not that I want to fill up this space with whining about my back (well really I do but I won't) but yesterday, after having it spasm all night I finally gave up and started out of bed at 6:00. By the time I got out of bed, dressed and shuffled in to start the client's breakfast it was after 7:00. Today it has been the sneezing causing me the most pain, but at least it feels on the mend. But Hilary just crawled up onto my lap and gave me a big hug, making everything worthwhile.
So to thank you for putting up with the "poor me" whine, here is the sky this morning, around 10:00. The photo doesn't really do it justice but it will give you a small inkling of the range of colours, now that the sun is gone.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Clare. With luck, an extra-big hug from Hilary will sort it out. :^)
Pretty photo! I hope your back gets better soon.
I started getting stuff ready for weaving this afternoon – to get rid of kinks in my back and insomnia due to the precaraious situation the entire school system in our county is facing. As Chairman of the local for teachers, I’m sort of in a spot…
Oh – and that picture is one I would have wanted to shoot myself!
Oh man, my sympathy goes out to you…bad backs REALLY hurt. Take care of yourself, and give pumping iron in the garage a miss for a week or so 🙂
Ehh, hate back problems. Last time I bent over to pick up a bird bath I couldn’t straighten up. Hubby took me to the ER. No fun. Sympathies, to you.
Thanks for all the warm wishes everyone. In light of my latest post the back seem pretty trivial.
And I think the problem is that I’ve given pumping iron a miss for far too long.
