I was just standing on our deck, drinking my morning coffee, taking in the sun and the sounds of the community. It is amazing how warm it feels, standing out there in just a t-shirt (well not JUST a t-shirt but you know what I mean). The actual temperature is -3C (27F) but it is quite comfortable in the sun.
After a few moments it slowly dawned on me that some of the sounds I was taking in were the cries of gulls. I imagine that they are Glaucous Gulls (Larus hyperboreus) but I’ll have to wander down and see for myself.
Spring, glorious spring.
