I haven’t yet made mention of Comet McNaught that has been appearing in our South Eastern Sky during the "day". Both Darcy of Way Way Up and Jennifer of Nunablog have posted on it. The strange thing is that a link on one of the Nunablog posts led me to the discovery of my friend, Niore Iqalukjuak’s photo blog Sirluarra, which until today I had no idea even existed. Niore is a wonderful photographer and his photo blog is worth visiting for a real glimpse into northern life.
And speaking of being remiss, the latest I and the Bird at Peregrine’s Bird Blog came out last week and I haven’t mentioned it yet. Go visit. You know that I and the Bird is always worth a trip.

I didn’t hear about the comet until it was really too late for us to see it. We looked for it at sundown last night in a very clear sky, but did dot see it. It was supposed to be visible for the last time here. I’m glad you were able to see it. Reminded us of how exciting it was to see Hale-Bopp a few years ago.
I had a look at the pictures in Sirluarras photoblog too, some really awesome scenery from the North and especially around Arctic Bay!
I downloaded the new version of Google Earth the other night and tried it out, it is awesome!
Your B&B is actually showing on it if you check the accommodation box.
Comets are fascinating aren’t they Robin Andrea. Sorry you missed it.
Niore does have some fantastic scenery shots Wolfgang. Can’t believe I didn’t know about the site until now. And thanks for the update on Google Earth. The new image does show a pretty recent picture of the B&B, perhaps from this fall. The accommodation notation is a pleasant surprise. They show us way out at the air strip though.
