Two confessions this morning. First of all, I have no problem living vicariously through others I can somehow remotely connect myself to. And second, I enjoy watching American and Canadian Idol. Its kind of like riding a moped, lots of fun, but you don’t tell your friends.

Now I’m in heaven.  A woman from my hometown, Amber Fleury, just made the top ten of Canadian Idol. Although her bio lists her as being from Calgary, she was raised in the same small town where I was born and raised, Roblin Manitoba.  She is really a gifted singer and I’ve never seen the judges of Idol gush quite so much about someones singing.

So if you can, watch Canadian Idol starting in a couple of weeks, after they finish settling the rest of the top ten and catch her perform, and remember Vote Early, Vote Often. You won’t regret it and you don’t have to tell your friends.
